Workshop Night Photography “Nacht van de Nacht”, October 24 2020

Every year around the end of October, the Night of the Night is celebrated nationally. For example, attention is being paid to the increasingly less visible night vision of our nature, ruined by city lighting, illuminated advertising signs and so on. Last year the UN published a report stating that 70% of the European population can not see stars at night due to light pollution!

During the Night of the Night I traditionally organize a photographic workshop on the theme Night. After the wonderful nightly workshops of 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018, this year I am organizing a workshop that focuses on capturing the night sky and its celestial bodies. In the case of clouds, there is an alternative program at the location. The workshop will take place in De Groote Peel National Park, after an introduction to the visitor center.

This year, too, we will discover the beautiful colors and photographic moments during the dark night in a special and one-off workshop. We start the workshop with coffee and cake (paid by Staatsbosbeheer) to an introduction to Nachtfotografie in de Peelboerderij. Then we go outside to photograph the night sky. Hopefully it is clear enough for stars! We finish around half past ten with an evaluation.

Nacht vd Nacht 2014 This workshop is dedicated to personal contact and also includes an extensive discussion on the program. The participants are challenged to send their best photo for feedback.
