The Seven Sisters is a chalk formation of seven hills between Eastbourne and Brighton in Sussex. Between the steep cliffs are several openings, like Birling Gap. Here I found myself on this windy but mesmerising evening of September 23, the autumn equinox. On this day, night and day are equal in length. The sun rose at seven and set at exactly seven again.
That moment I was able to capture beautifully at Birling Gap! Despite the strong winds which doomed many images due to the spray of the surf, I made a beautiful image of a beautiful sunset at a beautiful location!
