Symbol of the madness of modern war are the war cemeteries of the Great War battlefields at Ieper. Although there are many battlefields just as vicious, like at Verdun, Ieper is often the most known to people. Thanks to atmospheric black and white pictures the emotions I felt while visiting will be enhanced.
